Cartoon Mess LIVE! is an umbrella of interactive animated performances. Only using keyboards, tablets and cameras. I’ve written the code myself, and I pull all the strings: direction, character performances, and camera switching.. all while live-streaming on twitch.tv/tomthinks. It’s like cartoon improv. Toonprov?
The flagship show (Cartoon Mess LIVE!) is hosted by Duck and Tom. From user-submitted word suggestions, they sketch scenes that come to life! The drawings begin to speak, or sing, or scream!? Anything is possible!
Tom Deslongchamp is an all around creative. Making portraits using a variety of methods, but the most unusual is his fingerprint/ink technique. Follow his art journey on his @tomthinks account on Instagram.
Tom is also a digital puppeteer. This performance will feature his Cartoon Mess LIVE which also streams on twitch.tv/tomthinks. Follow @CartoonMessLIVE on Instagram for show updates and clips.

Bringing their own party with them, the Ballard Sedentary Sousa Band, Seattle’s own non-marching march band, plays the greatest hits of band music, rousing classics by John Philip Sousa, Henry Fillmore and more. What sets them apart? You can expect appearances by the Ballard Sedentary Sousa Band Drill Team, and the world’s only Sedentary Majorette, who performs thrilling feats of seated baton twirling. This band’s sparkling goodwill never fails to make people smile.
Excited and armed with cake in honor of the one and only John Philip Sousa celebrating his 171st birthday!

Summer Renovations
Kenyon Hall will be going dark this summer as we work to update some needed areas of our historic buildings infrastructure.
Thanks to the many donations we’ve been able to receive over the year we will also go towards a Mighty Wurlitzer deep clean.

Final Friday’s Jazz/Blues Jam
Lead by and for emerging student musicians and young professionals
ALL ADMISSION IS FREE
Kenyon Hall will be hosting open jam sessions for learning and early professional players in the West Seattle Area. Focusing on jazz/blues material these will be sessions open to all players looking to learn more about improvising and creating on the bandstand with other musicians.
Kenyon Hall will provide a house trio made up of some great musicians from the Chief Sealth music program. All instruments and/or vocalists welcome!
These jam sessions will be an open-call environment. We’ll have a sign-up sheet available when doors open (6:00pm) that players can sign-up with instrument details as well as song calls. Players can sign-up as soloists to play with the house band as well as duos/trios.
Each month will include a dedicated theme/recommended set-list of songs provided below. Feel free to choose from these songs or bring music to call your own song.
Kenyon Hall sits near the corner of Kenyon Avenue and 35th Ave on top of High Point in West Seattle. 7904 35th Ave SW, Seattle, WA 98126
We have an intimate listening space with a modest stage that is welcoming to all ages, all genres, and all levels of learning.
The Jamboree will take place on the “Final Friday” of each month. Through the spring and the rest of the school year, dates will be: 3/28/25, 4/25/25, 5/30/25, and 6/27/25.
Doors will open for sign-ups at 6:00pm, with performances occurring between 6:30pm - 9:00pm

WINNER of the 2022 Rocky Mountain Songwriter Contest, their distinctive harmonies are clearly a channel for their sometimes-raucous, sometimes-reminiscent compositions. With an incredible collection of stories about life, love, and purpose, their live performance is a powerful projection of everything Goldpine is about: striking vocals, bold harmony, and introspection into the human experience.

A long time student of Lou Magor’s, Sawyer Best, is a burgeoning force on the Wurlitzer Organ. Currently studying and servicing the Paramount Theatre’s Wurlitzer Organ, Sawyer is wholly bought in on the magic that these electro-mechanical wonders bring to audiences. Sawyer is most known around Kenyon Hall for accompanying the annual radio plays produced in conjunction with Mary Springer and her troupe as well as REPS and CARTOON MESS LIVE!

Composer and Instrumentalist Luke Fitzpatrick will present his concert length experimental work Nesting Dolls & Dreamscapes. Presentation of this work is co-sponsored by the City of Seattle Office of Arts and Culture.
Nesting Dolls & Dreamscapes explores multiple tuning systems, improvisation and theatricality in various settings and is written for Adapted Viola, Cello, Double Bass, Electric Guitar, Zither, Voice, Percussion, and the famous Wurlitzer organ that resides in Kenyon Hall. The work is dedicated to the memory of David Lynch.
